moment is the same as torque and the formula is force multiplied by the perpendicular distance.

so if your force is acting downwards, you're supposed to multiply it by the x distance from the point you're calculating the moment from...

otherwise, you have to use sine and cosine to get the Fx and Fy if your force is acting at an angle...
