A. Parable of the Widow's Mite

While Jesus is sitting near the treasury, He is watching the people giving their offerings and many of them are rich people who give so many treasures. Then a poor widow came and she threw her two mites which is the lowest currency at that time. But Jesus saw it and He said unto them that this poor widow has cast more than all they which have cast into the treasury, for all they did cast in for their abundance; but she did cast in all that she had.
3. How the story teaches love and compassion for the poor.
Though she is poor, Jesus values her offering more than any other because of her willingness to give everything she had. We should not mock this kind of people, because they are also sons and daughters of God and God loves them the way He loves us.
B. The story of the poor man Lazarus

Luke 16:19-31
2.Summary of the story in three to four sentences.
Lazarus is a beggar who has full of sores. He laid in the gates of a certain rich man, waiting to be fed from the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table. A time came and both of them died and buried. From hell, the rich man saw Lazarus in Abraham's bosom and cried for mercy to send Lazarus to cool his tongue.
3.How the story teaches love and compassion for the poor.
This parable teaches us to be good to others while we have time even if they are just beggars. We must show compassion to them because they are also sons of God. All of us are the same, we will both experience death and we will meet our Lord when the time comes.
