No, it's hard to imagine how the Earth will be flat.

1) Navigation is harder with a flat earth since you cannot circumnavigate

2) Without the cores and mantle that a normal spherical have, Earth would be cold.

3) People from the edge of the world would have an inclined gravity, given that the center of gravitational force is at the center of the flat earth. Imagine standing but you are inclined. This would also affect air transportation.

4) A moon wouldn't make sense. It just doesn't. How would it revolve around the earth's orbit? I have no idea.
