Me Being obsessed with my phone

  • If you are old enough to remember a life without cell phones (or the internet), then you know what it's like to live without one! Sure, we forget quite easily what it was like to have to be chained to the corded phone on the wall when talking to a friend. But we survived. And in some ways, life was a little nicer. We paid more attention to the people in our lives. I think it's pretty sad when I go out to restaurants and see whole families sitting at a table not talking because they're all on their phones. Technology can get in the way of our relationships. So put down the phone and talk to people face-to-face.

& I Blaming other people

  • It's easier to point the finger at other people instead of looking in the mirror and taking personal responsibility for your own actions. For example, I teach classes about interpersonal communication and relationships, and I can't tell you how many people blame other people for making them angry. Yes, they might have done something that was or hurtful. But YOU are the one who chooses your reaction. That's a novel concept for a lot of people, but it's true. You can't control what happens to you, but you can take responsibility for how you act in any given situation.
