Answer:

It may sound like a bit of a cliché, that a clean home is a happy home, but I really believe that this is true; a clean home may not be all that makes a home happy, of course, but it can certainly help to make it feel happier.

For many of us, our home is almost like a sanctuary; a safe and comforting place that we can retreat to after a hard day’s work, or when the rest of the world simply gets on top of us. Our homes are places where we can truly be ourselves and unwind, but while we may not want to spend all of our home time cleaning, we also acknowledge that we will not be able to relax fully if our homes are dirty, cluttered and unhygienic.

Many people in recent times have adopted the minimalist approach to furnishing their homes, in part because they believe it helps them to be able to relax and stay calm in their surroundings. Of course less furniture, trinkets, ornaments and objet d’art, makes for less dusting, and dust particles are one of the most common causes of allergies in the modern world. So not only are you helping your mind to stay clear and focused when you keep a clean home, but you’re protecting your overall health, too. The same could be said for pet hairs and excess fur; nobody would expect your pets to be kept out of the home all of the time, but keeping on top of your cleaning routine where pets are concerned, will improve your health and that of any visitors to your home. Pets can also become a little smelly in time, and I can guarantee that if you welcome a non-pet loving person into your pet filled home, one of the first things they will notice will be the smell, and not in a positive way, so clean up after them and burn essential oils, or use a room freshening spray, to keep your home fragrant and welcoming to all and sundry!
