Why were the Early Christians Persecuted?

  • In Early Christianity, Persecution is the mistreatment of believers when they preach about the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven and of Jesus Christ. It happens because the rotting and dying culture of the world is against the teachings of Jesus Christ and sin to God. Satan also wants to deceive many people so he could bring them along with him to the "Lake of Fire" on Judgment Day(Revelation 20:10). Hence, he tries to scare those who believe in Christ.

Why did God allow Early Christians to be Persecuted?

  • In Early Christianity, persecution is the very reason why Christianity spread throughout the ancient world. Many witness the power of the Holy Spirit shown by the courage and perseverance of Believers in Jesus Christ. These martyrs became heroes of faith, proving their faith in Jesus Christ and in his promise of eternal life.
