Yesterday it was raining hard. Jenny and Jane put basins outside to collect rainwater. When the rain stopped Jenny’s basin was filled with 4 L of rainwater while Jane’s basin had 3 000 mL. How many liters of rainwater were they able to collect?

Sagot :

We convert 3000ml to L.
[tex]3000ml* \frac{1L}{1000ml} =3L[/tex]
So we add:
[tex]3L+4L=7L[/tex]
Conversion:
1 L=1,000 ml

Jane's basin:
[tex]3,000 ml(\frac{1 L}{1,000 ml})=3 L[/tex]

To find out how many liters of rainwater they collected in total:
3 L=4 L=7 L

Hope this helps =)
