The Simbahang Bato has a rectangular shape. The other also has it but the corners have a sharp triangular pyramid. The center also uses a triangle.

The Simbahang bato has a plain rectangular shape. As the name implies it uses rocks and wood for the interior.  Miag-ao on the other hand, also uses simple shapes. The difference is that they added more shapes and have a different structure such as the roof.  The materials used have stone and less involvement of wood.
