As much as I hate to say it, most probably not. The Philippines has been depending on America ever since America fought for us in the 1880s. Maybe, if in the first place the Philippines was left alone by any country, we wouldn't have needed help or support. But that's not what happened, and in a way, the Philippines has benefited from the foreign help of America. I mean, during the typhoons and the other natural calamities that hit the Philippines, America was a lot of help. I'm wary of the stability of the Philippines' economy and government. America has helped, and they still are.
