High school is known for its busy schedule, be it for the regular session of learning in the classroom or other school activities. In addition, high school students have a hard time adjusting between school life and social life because they are teenagers on their peak, if I might say. Here are my plans to help them:
- I will do my best to teach time management. This one is the most important thing of all, so they will not get stressed out or to avoid burn out between the hectic schedule in school. Balance is always good.
- On the other hand, I will tell them to take things slowly. This plan does not sound reasonable at first, but panicking your way and rushing things out so that a student wants to experience everything is practically impossible. Also, most of the time it is about the quality of each activity they will choose, not the quantity.
- I will have to teach them how to communicate clearly. High school often times becomes the perfect chance to hone a student's skill in communication. By conveying what one wants and one's opinion in a clear manner, then the other party will listen and understand the intention. This plan includes how one would perform while giving speech, public speaking, etc.
This list provides the simplest ways possible to prepare a student for a new life in high school. However, I am sure that there are many other alternative answers, because as a teacher, you yourself will have to adapt in the sense that every student's needs differ from others.
