the importance of staying updated is that even tho we can't go out or live like before now that there's a pandemic that causes lots of people to get sick or even die, we should know what's going on outside, we should know what's the government nor community wants us to do or don't do to help the front liners and all the people that's around us. staying updated means you also know what's going on the outside world, it also means keeping us all safe by knowing those important news, etc.
