Is there an instance that hinders you to live morally?

*My answer will be based on my personal experience and Truth. So, I will answer for both "Yes" and "No."

If yes, why?

Before I knew who Jesus Christ truly is, I was so distracted by the world. It offered many things that could make you feel good that I didn't care much about Jesus Christ. So, When I was young, I played a lot of Fantasy genre games. I would be emotionally invested in the characters and story to the point of wanting to experience their fictional experiences.

If no, then how did you fulfill it?

After experiencing the taste of the Holy Spirit, I learned to guard my heart and mind. I started to revere the Lord, fearing to do wrong like tell a lie, look at lascivious images, hate others, etc. This was the beginning of my renewal of heart and mind. As it is written:

  • The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. - Proverbs 9:10

In other words, It is through the EMPOWERING of the Holy Spirit, I am able to live a life of righteousness and obedience to God, a life pleasing to the Lord's sight.

  • It is not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God. - 2 Corinthians 3:5

I still play video games for leisure but with a heart and mind that realizes how foolishly I fell into that illusion. You see, most games show the sinful nature of humanity's struggle for independence from God.
