An introduction is what makes readers want to read your paper. So make it interesting! Write general ideas on what your research is about. This is information that your readers need to know before you can talk about your research.
If your topic is something a bit complicated, start of something basic then slowly get more detailed and into your topic so it'll be easier for them to understand :)
