A homeless man and two other people were throwing pieces of paper in their campfire when suddenly a gust of wind blew the fire into the trees. The fire spread 1,700 acres in the area. The men were in their early 20s. They were camping out. “The breeze started the fire,” Police Chief Tim Staab of Glendora said. The men were arrested after a call of suspicious activities by a call of two other people.The fire was uncontrollable Thursday afternoon. The Colby Fire at Glendora destroyed two houses. No one was injured.
