What is a communication model?
A communication model - shows how information goes from one person to another. 

Communication model has 3 types.  

1. Shannon- Weaver’s Model of Communication – In this model, communication involves several elements: a sender expresses a message, which can be information, emotions, or actions, intended for a recipient. This message is conveyed through various channels like language, signs, or body language. The sender encodes the message to make it understandable, while the recipient decodes it to interpret its meaning. This model describes communication as a one-way process of receiving and sending messages 

2. Wilbur Schram’s Interactive Model of Communication - Wilbur Schramm’s Interactive Model of Communication is an improvement over the linear model, emphasizing the importance of feedback and the two-way flow of communication. In this model, communication is seen as an interactive, cyclic process involving the sender, the receiver, and the feedback loop. 

3. Dean Barnlund’s Transactional Model of Communication – In this model, the roles of the sender and the receiver in the Transactional Model of communication differ significantly from those in the other models. Instead of labeling participants as senders and receivers, the people in a communication encounter are referred to as communicators.​
