I have always loved the ocean and environment, so the university's focus on sustainability is appealing to me. After graduating, I think I would enjoy a career helping manage the natural resources in Palawan.
I'm from El Nido originally, so studying close to home would be beneficial. I could save on living expenses by staying with my family. However, being in such a beautiful location might also be distracting at times. Still, I think I would appreciate experiencing my college years in such a scenic place.
Word is the admission process is not very competitive at WPU El Nido compared to bigger schools. As someone who didn't have top grades, I think my chances of acceptance are better there. Small class sizes also mean more interaction with teachers.
Free tuition is obviously very important to my family as well. WPU El Nido is covered under the Universal Access law, which will help tremendously with college costs. That opens up opportunities I may not have otherwise had.
Those are some of the main reasons I'm interested in attending WPU El Nido after I graduate high school. I hope to further develop my skills and knowledge in a program and place that inspire me.
