As a Filipino, I advocate for the rights over our waters. As said, what's ours is ours. The feud over who owns the West Philippines Sea dates back a long time ago. Arguably though, there are many evidences and laws that point to the sea being ours. No matter what, I believe that we shouldn't let go of the WPS. We should fight for what's ours, what will be the sacrifices of our ancestors for, if we don't fight for our country? The WPS contains vast resources that contributes to the development of our economy and if we let it go, our needs would be limited. Some people argue that why don't we just give it away? It is really worth lives for some sea? Yes, it is. If we let this go, we are only showing to the Chinese people that we can't protect what's ours, making it easier to belittle and conquer our country. In a time like this, SUPPORT and UNITY should reign over the hearts of Filipinos. Realize and open our eyes to the social issues concerning our country, Because if we don't protect it, who will?
