The blue whale is the largest mammal on Earth, and it is the largest animal that has ever lived. On average, an adult blue whale can grow up to 82 feet (25 meters) in length and weigh around 120-170 tons (110,000-150,000 kilograms). However, the largest blue whale ever recorded was a female that measured 108 feet (33 meters) in length and weighed an astonishing 173 tons (156,000 kilograms).
