How to solve the commision and the net proceed if the total sales is shown and also the rate of commissions is also shown? PLEASE my sem break is over tomorrow and i forgot how to solve this.

Given the rate of commission, and the total sales:

1)  If the commission is based on the total sales, then solve for the commission using this formula:
Commission = (rate of commission in percent ÷ 100) (total sales)

2)  Find net proceeds in two different ways:
a.  Net proceeds = (Total Sales) - [ (rate of commission/100) (Total Sales)
b.) Net proceeds = [ (100 - rate of commission) / 100) ] ( Total Sales)
