The "Tale of Chunhyang" is considered as Korea’s national epic better known
than the western’s renown noble Cinderella. The story took place in an old Korea that was almost
a burlesque of Confucian China. On that era, the king was a total autocrat and social decrees were absolutely
hierarchical.
Temptation to abuse
