Components of computer
Components of computer means different computer parts that when you put in together becomes the whole computer system.
There are four (4) major components of computer and they are:
- Input Devices - these are devices that gathers input and commands from the user to be processed inside the computer. Examples of input devices are keyboard, mouse, microphone, scanner
- Output Devices - these are devices which displays or produce the output of the input data for the user to see. Examples of output devices are monitor, printer, speakers
- Storage Devices - these are devices that can store data and files. Some of the data can only be stored temporarily, as long as there is power in the computer. These are called volatile memory. Examples of storage devices are hard disk drive, USB (Universal Serial Bus) storage or flash drive, external hard drive, Random Access Memory and Read Only Memory.
- Motherboard - the main circuit inside the computer where devices and memories are connected. Some of the devices that can be found on the motherboard are Processor, sound card, video card, USB port, Ethernet port
