Sagot :

✏️ Five Different Modes Of Reproduction Of Plants:

  • Vegetative Reproduction
  • Spore Formation
  • Fragmentation and regeneration
  • Budding
  • Binary Fission

✏️ Vegetative Reproduction

  • Vegetative Reproduction is a kind of asexual reproduction where new individual, known as the offspring, is produced from a single parent. The offspring is genetically identical with the parent.

✏️ Spore Formation

  • Spore Formation is also called multiple fission.

✏️ Fragmentation and regeneration

  • This is the common type of reproduction among plants and in some animals such as sponges and flatworms. In this organisms, the parent body breaks up into several pieces or fragments develop into a new organism. When an organism like starfish, earthworm and hydra are cut into two pieces, each part can develop into a new individual.

✏️ Budding

  • Budding occurs in unicellular organisms such a yeast and a simple multicellular animal such as hydra. A new individual may form as an outgrowth of a parent. The outgrowth separates from the parent and become new individual. The buds may separate from the parent to live as an independent individual or may remain attached to the parent to form an extensive colony.

✏️ Binary fission

  • It is commonly observed in a single celled organism such as bacteria and protozoa. It simple involves the division of a parent cell to produce equal size and identical daughter cell. Each daughter cell continues to grow until it become as large as a parent cell.

All of this modes of reproduction are under the asexual reproduction of plants.

✏️ What is asexual reproduction?

  • Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction which does not involve the fusion of an egg and a sperm. There arno specialized sex cells involved. The offspring that arise by asexual reproduction from a single cell or from a multicellular organism inherit the genes of that parent.
