this statement is something we face in life on a daily basis.As its evident from the phrases “ bed of roses" and “bed of thorns" it can be said that life is neither too easy/comfortable like how a bed of roses might be to lay upon nor too hard like a bed of thorns which can be really painful as well. Its rather a merger between the two extremes and hence its well balanced. One would have to undergo both phases in life and the experiences we gain throughout is something which would prepare us for the forthcoming cycle of “roses and thorns" !
