The five utterances of
Perseus in the story of the "Gorgon's head that strikes me the most are
the following:
- "I would willingly risk my life to do so"
- "And, besides, what would my dear mother do, if her beloved son
were turned into a stone?"
- If anybody is in fault, it is myself; for I have the honor to hold your
very brilliant and excellent eye in my own hand!"
- ,--"I hold your eye fast in my hand, and shall keep it safely
for you, until you please to tell me where to find these Nymphs."
- "Behold it, then!"
