according to ohms law ,across a resistor with constant resistance , what happens to the current across it when the voltage applied is doubled ?

i need a best explination !
my answer is halved

Sagot :

Ohm's law states that the electric potenital difference between two points is proportional to the current across it. The proportionality constant is R or resistance.

V=IR

Now if you double your voltage, V->2V, the current will also be doubled.

from V=IR to 2V=(2I)R.

You can not change the resistance because it is constant.
