Christ's resurrection is essential to the foundation of our Christian faith because our faith would be in vain in believing on someone who is defeated by death. As said by the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians:
1 Corinthians 15:14
"And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith."
Without the resurrection, there would be no hope that followed his Passion for our sins.
The resurrection also contributes to the divinity of Christ; that a God never dies.
