Rizal Subject
RA 1425 mandates all institutions to offer courses about the Philippine National hero Jose Rizal. It was proposed by Senator Claro M. Recto who was the reason why Rizal subject is now a requirement in every school.
Here are my expectations about the Rizal subject:
- I expect this to give me a clear understanding of the life of Jose Rizal.
I will always keep in mind that this is to give value and remember all his dedication to the country. As years go by, we tend to forget the sacrifices of our heroes because we are more focused on social media. As a step of commemorating their hard work, the government realized the need to re-dedicate the patriotism, nationalism, and dedication to the country implementing RA 1425.
- I expect his as a simple way of showing devotion to our national hero in a fun way.
The more we understand our hero's life, the more we get to realize that valuing their works is a must. With this simple gesture, we get a chance to show our fondness and devotion to them. We also get a chance to be in their shoes in some ways. With this implementation, we can treasure and keep their historical works for the years to come.
- To give importance and remember the written works of Jose Rizal.
More and more stories emerged these days and we should throw two of the most important masterpieces that helped shape our country today, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. They were crafted ingeniously that outsmarted Spaniards back during the years. As a source of inspiring stories, these two books should never be neglected or forgotten.
- No excuse not to take the subject
Since this law is mandatory and required, no one, public or private institution, should be exempted. The government, local or national, regulates and monitors every institution to ensure the unbiased implementation of RA 1425. The main goal of this is not just to share the story and works of the hero but also to develop moral character, personal discipline, civic, conscience and to teach the duties of citizenship.
- Fun and enjoyable subject
everyone thinks that this subject is boring but I believe if we could have a mindset that we need this subject to understand how it feels like to live before the present times, I think it would be reasonable for us to enjoy this subject.
