Time does not heal all wounds. Fragments of painful memories will continue to appear every now and then. It is true that as time goes by, we tend to forgive those who hurt us as a process of healing, but forgiveness does not totally erase the scars they left. We just put these aside as we go on with our lives, and there will be moments when we feel the pain again if something or someone triggers it. Time just decrease the level of pain, but it does not really take it away. We will only heal if we learn to forget everything. The question is… “Can we really forgive and forget?”
