Beyond the troubles in a few of its areas is an amazing scenery and a reflection of fascinating Philippine culture. Mindanao's ethereal beauty is due to its beaches with clean and clear waters, green and thick mountains and forest and of course, its beautiful people with colorful cultural heritage. The spectacular views of its different tourist spots are attractive to the eyes of tourists all over the world. Despite the cultural diversity, it is important for Mindanaoans to retain their cultural identity which is the sense of belongingness to a particular culture involving customs, traditions and heritage.
