Thousands of earthquakes occur in the Philippines each year. Most of them are too small to be felt by humans. Only a few are strong to cause damage and casualties to human life. What is the risk of damage from earthquakes in the area we live? Is the risk factor the same throughout the Philippines? How many places in the Philippines are believed to be free from earthquake risk? What are the things to consider in the place to live in? If we cannot avoid these areas or places, what should be done to minimize the damage caused by the earthquake or volcanic eruptions?​
